Cosmetic Dental Treatment

Our cosmetic dental services focus on mostly the aesthetics of the teeth, from veneers, white fillings to full restorations.

Restoration

By conducting restoration on a tooth including inlays and onlays, which are essentially a semi crown but don't provide full coverage, it has the benefit of less teeth needing to removed. With most cosmetic procedures there is great potential in saving the teeth structure when providing treatment.

As with all restorative or cosmetic procedures it is extremely important to look after your veneers or crowns and have regular check-ups with your dentist in order to maintain a high level of oral health. If cared for the porcelain dental veneers can last for many years.

Veneers and Crowns

Veneers are thin porcelain, composite or shells that are attached to upper and lower front teeth. Porcelain and composite veneers are attached to the front surface of your front teeth and are used to improve their appearance.

Veneers and crowns will improve the appearance of your smile and also veneers Protect will assist in protecting worn and weakened teeth. They can also be used if you have a problem with discolored or stained front teeth, if you have large fillings in your front teeth, or if your front teeth are misaligned and you want to avoid braces

Before fitting any veneers or crowns your dentist will need to prepare the teeth by removing a small amount from the tooth. They will then take an impression of your teeth to act as a mould that the dental laboratory will go on to use to create a model of your teeth and then the veneers or crowns.

Once the veneers or crowns have been completed your dentist will fit them during your second appointment. This is a relatively simple process where the dentist will attach the veneers to the teeth using a gel that glues the tooth and the veneer together or simply cementing the crown with various cementing agents. Finally any extra cement is removed and the veneers or crowns are polished to give a perfect result.
